Battery electric vehicles represent an essential element in the design of sustainable mobility concepts. In cooperation with the ISEA and PEM institutes, the ika offers a comprehensive range of further training courses on the development, conceptual design and construction of electric vehicles. The aim here is to qualify employees in the area of vehicle electrification/electromobility in order to integrate them into corresponding vehicle development projects in the future.

Due to the lower density, aluminium alloys have a significant weight reduction potential compared to steel. Especially in structural applications, aluminium is therefore classified as a competitive material.

In recent years, driver assistance systems have increasingly found their way into various vehicle classes. Some systems are now mandatory for new cars. From the many years of scientific and teaching support of the topic, a training course could be established at the ika. The goal is to qualify employees in the focus area of driver assistance systems in order to integrate them into corresponding vehicle development projects in the future.
