qOpt

Optimized Operation of a Latent Heat Storage System in Electrified Vehicles

The project qOpt focuses on developing a latent heat-storage unit and incorporating this together with a heat led operating strategy into an electrified vehicle at ika. Its goal is to save the occurring waste heat during the drive cycle and to use this to supply other heat sinks, for example by heating the vehicle interior. In order to integrate the operatingstrategy, the project consortium further develops a special thermal control unit.
