Vehicle Acoustics

In the course of e-mobility and the increasing demand for comfort, acoustic investigations are becoming more relevant in the automotive development process. Especially the elimination of the acoustically masking combustion engine as well as the demand for comfort in automated driving, create great challenges. In addition to comprehensive theoretical knowledge, practice-related methodological tools are imparted and applied.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Vehicle Acoustics course, students will be able to...

  • apply basic acoustic calculation rules.
  • analyze and interpret acoustic signals in an application-specific context.
  • apply methods for the analysis of the transfer behavior of acoustic systems and analyze the results.
