CERTAIN
Resilient and continuous safety assurance methodology for CCAM and its HMI components
CERTAIN focuses on improving road safety in the EU by integrating advanced driver assistance tools, user-centered design and AI systems into new vehicles. It tackles challenges like continuous safety assessment throughout the entire life cycle of the vehicle, the need for rigorous evaluation of AI safety components, and balancing strong regulations with competitiveness and environmental goals.
The aim is to create a unified safety assurance approach that keeps European roads safer while supporting innovation, increasing the adoption of CCAM technologies. This vision aligns with the European Union's strategic objectives for sustainable and safe mobility.
