Groundbreaking research around the vehicle

At ika, we research future, efficient, sustainable and safe solutions for a wide range of use cases. In cities, in the countryside, individually or by public transport, but always sustainable, barrier-free and flexible - in order to identify and meet the complex and often conflicting requirements for mobility solutions, we have set up our research teams in an interdisciplinary and wide-ranging way.

Our colleagues from a wide range of disciplines jointly research the entire vehicle, including its systems and their interactions and users. The spectrum ranges from the chassis to the complete drive system, the body and electrics/electronics to driver assistance systems, vehicle acoustics, thermal management and user acceptance. This knowledge is used to develop concepts for components, systems or complete vehicles that also take into account the interaction of the driver with the vehicle in order to create solutions for people.

As part of RWTH Aachen University, the ika researches future, efficient, sustainable and safe mobility in all its sub-aspects.
